I began painting when I was 20 years old. I was looking for a direction in my life. What did I want to do? I had no idea until I walked into Leeds City Art Gallery for the first time and I was in awe at the fantastic pieces of artwork.
This was it. I wanted to be an Artist!
For the last 41 Years that is what I have done hoping to improve year by year.
My painting is all about capturing the light, atmosphere and essence of a subject, whether it is Landscape, Seascape or Figurative.

Whatever the subject I try to create Dramatic light, making an ordinary Scene into something Special.
I work mainly in Acrylic, Oils, Watercolour and Pastel.
